A strong voice for our community
- Bring decision making back to our towns
- £1m to sort out roads and pavements
- More accountability for council spending
- The right infrastructure for our borough
- Improve public transport
Our five wins for Wigan
Bring decision making back to our towns
We would establish Township Committees to decentralise decision making from the Civic Centre and help revitalise the whole Borough!
£1m to sort out roads and pavements
Your local Lib Dems would increase spending by an extra one million Pounds to repair our pot-holed roads and crumbling pavements quicker.
Accountability for council spending
Ensure council spending gives value for money by providing proper accountability in the council chamber.
The right infrastructure for our towns
We would require new developments to have the infrastructure to support them and include affordable housing.
Improve public transport
Working with TfGM to improve public transport links, including both bus and train services. Currently too many local bus services are being cut back.

The Liberal Democrats are the only party standing up for our local communities against Wigan Labour and the weak Tory Government.
The choice here is between a strong Liberal Democrat candidate or more of the same neglect from Wigan Labour.
